Stories of Sound
Musician & Band Photography
When Music Becomes an Image
Music is something you hear. But before someone ever presses play, they see the person, the band, the attitude, the atmosphere and the world behind the music. That's where I come in. I photograph musicians and bands as people first — not simply as performers. I want to understand what your music feels like, what you want people to see, and what makes you different from everyone else. Then we create photographs that turn that feeling into imagery.
Your Music. Your Image. Your Story.
Every musician has a different sound. Every band has its own personality. Some need strong promotional portraits. Some need photographs that feel raw and spontaneous. Some belong in a studio, others somewhere completely unexpected. And sometimes the most powerful image is the one taken while you're actually performing. That's why I don't believe in making every musician look the same. We'll decide together what fits your music, your personality and where you are in your journey — whether that's building your artist identity, releasing a new song, promoting an album, updating your press kit or simply creating photographs that feel like you.
Where Your Music Lives
Studio - Controlled. Clean. Completely Focused.
Sometimes the music needs nothing competing with it. A studio gives us the space to concentrate on you — your expressions, your presence, the way you move and the relationship between the members of your band. We can create strong promotional portraits, album artwork, press photographs and images for streaming platforms and social media. Simple when it needs to be simple. Striking when it needs to be striking.
Location
Your Music Has a Place.
A musician doesn't exist in front of a plain background. You have places, people, memories and environments that belong to your story. A rehearsal room. A city street. An old building. A railway platform. A quiet landscape. Somewhere completely unexpected. Location photography gives us room to bring that world into the photographs. The surroundings become part of the story — without taking the story away from you.
How We Work Together
Connection
Before I raise the camera, I want to understand you, your music and what you're trying to say.
Presence
I won't spend the entire session telling you how to stand. I'll give you direction when you need it, but I'll also give you space to be yourselves.
Sound into Image
Your music already has a character. My job is to find the visual language that belongs to it.

THE RECORD
The Music. The People. The World Around It.
Some artists need more than a collection of portraits.
They need a visual world.
With up to four hours, we have the time to move beyond the obvious — creating portraits, band photographs, location images, details, movement and photographs that show the people behind the music.
We can work in more than one setting where appropriate, allowing the photographs to feel like a genuine visual story rather than a single photoshoot.
This is for artists and bands who want a versatile library of images they can continue using throughout their music journey.

LIVE
Your Music, Happening in the Moment.
A live performance has something a studio session never can. It has energy. It has movement. It has an audience. And it has moments that will never happen in exactly the same way again. I photograph performances with the same approach I bring to everything else — looking for the people, the emotion and the moments between the obvious ones. From a small club or intimate acoustic performance to a larger concert, festival appearance or tour date, I'll create a collection of photographs that tells the story of the performance.

Your Music. Your People. Your Image.
Every song has a story behind it.
The people who wrote it. The people who play it. The places where it began. The moments that inspired it. And the people who will eventually hear it.
I don't want to simply make photographs that show what you look like. I want to make photographs that give people a feeling of who you are and what your music sounds like — before they've even heard the first note.
Whether you're a solo artist finding your visual identity, a band preparing for a new release, or a performer who wants to remember the energy of a night on stage, I'd love to hear your story. We'll talk about your music, your ideas and what you want the photographs to say. Then we'll make something that belongs to you.
