Behind the Camera

It's always about people.

I was born in Toronto, Canada, and photography has been part of my life since I was twelve years old. After months of shovelling snow and doing odd jobs, I finally bought my first camera—a Canon AE-1—and I've rarely been without one since. Photography has taken me on quite a journey. I've lived in Canada, Malta, England and now Germany, and every place has changed the way I see the world. Different cultures, different faces, different stories—but people are wonderfully human wherever you go.

A Camera Is Just the Beginning

I still enjoy every part of the process.
From the first conversation and the shoot itself to carefully refining each photograph afterwards, I love seeing an image become everything I knew it could be when I pressed the shutter. It's never about changing reality, only about giving each photograph the care and attention it deserves.

The Best Photographs Happen Naturally

One thing I've learned over the years is that great photographs rarely come from telling people exactly what to do. They happen when people relax, forget about the camera and simply enjoy the moment. A conversation, a shared laugh, a quiet glance—those are often the photographs that people treasure the most. Creating that atmosphere is one of my favourite parts of what I do.

I Still Love Photography

After all these years, my favourite moment isn't pressing the shutter. It's seeing someone's reaction when they first open their photographs. The smile. The laughter. Sometimes even a few happy tears. Knowing I've created something that will still mean something years from now is what keeps me inspired every time I pick up my camera.

Perhaps We'll Meet Soon

Whether we work together or simply share a coffee and a conversation, I'd be delighted to get to know your story.
After all, the best photographs always begin with real people.

Melanie Gaug

I was honestly nervous about this photoshoot. But from the very beginning, Marc created an atmosphere where I felt comfortable, seen, and accepted. Marc saw a beauty in me that I hadn’t seen in myself for a long time.

Sylvia & Alexander

Marc and Gabriel helped us relax with their fun and easy-going nature. Even though we had very little time for our couple’s portraits, the photos turned out beautifully. We can wholeheartedly recommend them and are so glad we chose them.
